David Wilson
London Scottish
David Wilson was the pro at this famous London club from 1906 until the First World War. After the war he moved for a while to the then new Rushden club but returned to London Scottish in 1923 and was still working at the club at the time of his death in 1958.

The club was founded by Lord Elcho in 1865 from the golfers in the London Scottish Rifle Volunteers and was opened to any member of the armed services, as of right, and to civilians by ballot in 1869 when it got its name. More civilians were added in the 1870s but their inability to serve on the committee and the Colonel of the Volunteers veto resulted in the civilians breaking away to form what became Royal Wimbledon. London Scottish seems to have better relations with the ladies having helped set up Wimbledon Ladies' Golf Club in 1872 and donating a splendid trophy.
